We have been working with Glossop artist Adrian Holt, creating site-specific relief ceramic pictures for Dinting Railway Station. We had a busy eleven workshops through the Autumn and Winter- visiting the station, a session of fascinating information from Neil Williams of Friends of Glossop Station, and then creating five large relief ceramic tiles.
Sadly, after 14 years, current funding for Project eARTh has finished, so the project is on pause until or if more funding can be secured.
Moorland Panorama
‘Moorland Panorama’, a wonderful felted wall hanging, was created by Project eARTh with artist Carol Wilson. This beautiful artwork was unveiled by the Mayor of The High Peak on August 8th at its new permanent home, the Moorland Centre, Fieldhead, Edale, S33 7ZA. Stained Glass Inspired Silk Panels
Thank you for joining us on Thursday 28th Feb to unveil the beautiful silk-painted panels, inspired by the Charles Eamer Kempe stained glass windows in Spring Bank Arts Centre. These window and wall hangings were made by participants in Project eARTh ( Environmental arts and health) with artist Amanda Whewell. They will be displayed at Spring Bank Arts Centre, alongside a book of smaller silk painted pieces also inspired by the windows.

Unveiling, Celebration and Exhibition of Fused Glass Panels

The New Mills group made a triptych of Glossop, High Peak and Derbyshire scenes and landmarks for Manor House Surgery in Glossop, and the Buxton group created images of the four seasons, plus a summer seaside scene for Corbar View in Buxton. Making Your Garden Grow
Project eARTh participants, children from Art Box Art Club and Buxton Infants worked with artist Carol Chouler- Tissier to create 3D ceramics flowers, which will be installed in the Pavilion Gardens Conservatory, during Buxton Festival.

‘Made in Derbyshire’ – Blue John Felted wall panels
Members of Project eARTh are working with artist Carol Wilson to create wall panels for the children’s area of Buxton Library. They are doing a special project as part of Made in Derbyshire, and have chosen to work on the theme of Blue John, and the children’s book written by Berlie Doherty, with illustrations by Tim Clarey.
