Participants worked with artist Liz Wewiora on a River Corridor Project focussing on the Rivers Goyt and Sett that run through New Mills. Participants created gel prints and lumen prints using found natural objects from the rivers, and recorded memories, thoughts and feelings about the rivers. These have all been used to create a beautiful film. ‘Roam, River, Roam’ to be premiered on Sunday 29th September in the ‘It’s in Our Nature’ Showcase at Spring Bank Arts in New Mills , 2pm – 6pm.
Sadly, after 14 years, current funding for Project eARTh has finished, so the project is on pause until or if more funding can be secured.

Needle Felted Creatures
New Mills Project eARTh are busy alternating two projects at present to give variety! Participants have been busy making needle-felted creatures- with artist English Tilly (Carol Wilson) – mainly owls and badgers, with a penguin and chicken thrown in for good measure – as well as other workshops on creative writing for our 61 bus Route project, with writer Genevieve Carver. Photos below of needle-felting.
