Hello to all our wonderful participants. Here are details of the current status of HPCA programmes (updated 9th April):
Project eARTh:
We are sadly cancelling Project eARTh until further notice, due to the need for social distancing with covid 19. However, we want to make every effort to keep in touch with everyone through the post and phone, and for those that have it, some online contact. We are busy thinking of creative ways to keep connecting with each other during these very difficult days. The first idea will be winging its way through the post this week (as long as I stay well and in work)!

Film Cuts Club:
After a 2 week stop due to social distancing and lockdown, we re-launched Film Cuts Club on Saturday 4th April using Zoom and Miro tools. We will now continue each Saturday for the time being, but there is a new signing up process to get consent from parents / guardians to take part in online group work. Click here to find out more about this signing up process.
Young Writers’ Camp and Tall Tales:
We are working on ways to re-launch this programme, but given the unknown length of the social distancing / lockdown period it is more difficult to set aims for this work. We were planning to use a trip to our 40th Anniversary Archive Project as the starting point, so our first task now is to choose a new theme.
13+ Young Writers:
We will be able to complete the writing for this year’s theme of Local Landscape: Global Future and our funders have agreed to extend the grant until we can get back together to complete the filming. I will be in touch with members of this group to set up some group writing sessions over Zoom.
Music Arts Pod:
This programme is suspended while the schools are shut, but we hope to return to the existing groups and complete some finished work with each group, even if this has to be in September. We have classic pieces such as the ‘Pen Down the Radiator’ music video which cannot be left unfinished!
Take care all!
