High Peak Community Arts provides opportunities for people to participate in high quality creative arts projects. We focus on those with the least access to the arts and culture and we believe that the arts can be a tool for change in people’s lives.
We work to break down the barriers to participation in the arts, including geographic location, lack of resources, disability or other personal or social circumstances. Our programmes provide first and onward opportunities for participants of all ages, interests and abilities, to experiment with the creative arts – including film, digital arts, crafts, performance and visual arts; and to create work that reflects and celebrates life.

Youth Arts
Enabling young people to engage and participate in creative arts activities; with a commitment to Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which calls us to give young people the opportunity to express their views, and see those views acted on. We have been awarded the Silver level Hear By Right award by the National Youth Agency and we are an Arts Award Delivery Centre.
Arts, Health & Wellbeing
Developing arts based initiatives for adults and elders to improve their health and well-being. Our programmes are built around people and their needs, listening to what our participants say, so that they choose the projects we do.
High Peak Community Arts is an independent membership organisation, a company limited by guarantee, and a registered charity. Charity No. 517887.
